Has any body had any issues with there mini duramax? On mine the check engine light came on at 4500 miles and the dealers said there were 11 codes. not sure exactly what codes they were but it turns out my ECM was no good and the DEF pump wasn't working. it's currently in the shop waiting on parts. just curious if anybody else has had any issues

Sorry you're having issues, I have almost 19,000 miles on mine with no problems thankfully.

Yes I had a problem like that, I think.
I had a light come on I went to check it out at the dealer and complained about some other little things like why was I going into regen cycle 4-5 times a week?
it took the a few day to fix they had to replace the DEF injector it was broken somehow.

IDK what else came it was that they found. to long ago.

But they fixed it, and now I have Regen 2-4 times a week

I had the same exact issue, but never got a light, finally found a dealership in my area that would actually look at my truck for how often it was regening even without a CEL and guess what there were a ton of codes on it, just not turning on the CEL and it was the DEF injector and now I regen only once a tank.
Bought a new 2016 in early Dec. Back to the dealership two weeks later. Less than 1000 miles on it. DEF codes and check engine. Truck is still there. Working towards a buyout. Don't trust this truck at all. Have owned several chev. diesels, first was a 1983 6.2. Current is a 2011 duramax with 150,000 mi.
Does the reg show you if it's working....10,000 miles iunknown if it's working

Hi Roosedtr,

We assure you this is not the kind of experience we want you to have in your new truck and can certainly understand your frustration. If interested, we’d be more than happy to offer our assistance and look further into your situation. To proceed, please send us a private message with your VIN, full contact information, and name of the involved dealership. Hope to hear from you soon.

I drive truck for a living. Your truck is going into regen. Its working as it suppossed to. As a rule you wont notice unless you have a lot of stop and go or idle time. Then you should get a message to keep driving. Can take up to 20 min sometimes to complete. Sure by now you fig it out but thought I would say it anyway. Gary.

Had an issue with an exhaust injector at 600 miles...took almost 7 weeks for the part to come in. Truck seems to be doing ok now. Chevy really tried to be supportive and corporate was willing to listen.
Had a check engine light on at 16K-it went off by itself, 21K -the dealer replaced the Fuel filter heater, and now at 25K it's on again. Anyone else have similar issues?
Welcome to the forum. I haven't heard of that issue, bummer. Most issues I heard of popped up very quickly such as the above posted at 600 miles. Keep us posted.
Bought a new duramax Colorado yesterday. 90 miles later the check engine light is on. already... Not very pleased with this. Pulled code P24B0. anyone know what this is?

Sorry about that. Someone else might know, I know some of the other owners have had similar issues very soon in the life of the truck so they might help, such as Mr. Bones. I don't know that code, but I did a code lookup on one of the DTC sites I used to use a lot, and I didn't find that code you listed. You're sure it was that P24B0? It wasn't P240B was it, because it if was, I got a hit on that. Here is the link http://www.dtcsearch.com/P240B/ It talks about the powertrain and emissions control. Which, would be pretty in line with the issues I've heard the other guys say about their trucks.
thanks, that was the code. got on the on star and they told me it was something with the emissions and I should get it in, in the next 7 days. so nothing major I guess. I will let the dealer deal with it. thanks again
If it happens again, try using Shell or BP diesel for a couple of tanks to see if it stops it... I think the systems on these engines might be overly sensitive to fuel quality.

I put new fuel in yesterday and the code cleared immediately and has not showed back up in at least 100 miles. we shall see how it goes. thank you
My point is that "new" fuel and "good" fuel aren't always the same... I can get new fuel from my local no-name station any time and it's pretty much guaranteed to throw codes for 500 miles. To clear them, I run a few tanks of Shell or BP.

Disclaimer: I'm not saying Shell or BP are the only good diesel fuels... they're just consistently good are are regularly tested. There are other stations, even small chains with good fuel... but if you want to test it and be sure, run Shell or BP for three tanks.
I guess I should have mentioned it was a shell station.
Same deal for me. They've replaced the DEF injector twice on my 2017 but when I picked it up the Check engine light was back on. No problems for 5500 miles and nothing but trouble since. I hope. That GM finds a fix soon because I really like my truck and don't want to return it on a lemon law claim.
