hello everyone, I'm wondering if anyone has had the "must continue driving cleaning exhaust filter" message come up on a deleted 2018 colorado? I recently tuned/deleted my truck, and after 2000-2500 miles with no issues I had this message pop up on my info centre. The truck runs fine, idles normally and I know it's not regening, but the message shows up now every drive, not immediately upon starting the truck, but usually within a couple minutes of start up (idling or moving). I've been in touch with my tuner, hoping they can help me out. I have seen people on some of these forums posting the same issues but never on a 2018. I know I'm problably one of the first guys to delete tune a 2018 as these tunes are just becoming available, but wondering if anyone out there has any insight into possible remedies. I've tested my dpf pressure sensor with two others, reloaded my tune multiple times and still problem persists.
Thanks guys

This is a pretty common issue with most delete tunes. The reason is because the tune is not a true delete. All in Truck stopped making tunes because of this. Pretty much any tuners that use EFI Live have this issue and they haven’t figured it out yet. I’ve read this issues comes up more with Dan’s tune however.

EFI Live is not the major break through it was when it first came out in the early/mid 2000s. It’s pretty limited today. Hence why I really like GDE. They use their own software/hardware which is superior.

Well I'm not sure who dan is, but the tune I got is from GDE. Now I have to say the truck runs great, the added power is awesome, truck pulls a lot harder and with the tranny tune it gets about 3-4 mpg better than I was and I'm driving it harder than I did stock. Now I really don't want to turn this thread into something that's gonna bash the reputation of GDE as I have to say their customer service during the sale portion of my purchase was amazing. He was returning emails/tunes to me on Easter long weekend. Needless to say I was impressed by that, but now the true test will be how they handle Trying to fix this issue. I"m hoping this gets resolved soon, was told they would look at the issue next week once their colorado tuner was back from vacation. Until then thou I'd figure I'd see if anyone on here had any input as I've seen similar threads on forums before, but now can't find them or what finally solved those other guys problems

Did we send you an update in the last hour for Autocal to pull some data? We just emailed that out to 3 guys.

Yeah the engine tune is fine, truck running smooth. Sorry if I confused you, but the only issue is the "cleaning exhaust filter must continue driving" message error on my display... that and the 4 quick beeps that chime in every couple of minutes. I was in touch with you guys today and you guys were working on a revised tune for me. So it's getting addressed as we speak.

I deleted my 2018 truck myself with EFI Live, however I was warned there were issues with the 2018s so I flashed in a 2017 file into my truck and used that as my base file. So far so good but I've only put on maybe 800-1000miles. Truck only has like 2500 total.

I'm sure GDE will get it sorted out for you.

HEY GUYS... JUST WANTED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT THE GUYS @ GDE REALLY CAME THRU FOR ME. I GOT A REVISED/UPDATED TUNE THAT REMOVED THAT MESSAGE OFF MY INFO SCREEN. TALKED TO THEM ON MONDAY MORNING AND BY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THEY HAD A NEW CUSTOM TUNE THAT FIXED THINGS UP FOR ME. ALSO THEY GOT IT FIXED FIRST TIME AROUND. ALSO I GOT THEIR NEW UPDATED TUNE. NOT SUR ABOUT HOW MUCH MORE POWER IT MAKES, TRUCK FEELS ABOUT THE SAME, BUT NOW I CAN FULLY DELETE MY UREA TANK AND JUST OVER THE LAST 100 MILES (LAST NIGHTS DRIVE) I SAW ABOUT ANOTHER 1 MPG INCREASE OVER WHAT I WAS GETTING WITH THEIR ORIGINAL ENGINE/TRANNY TUNE COMBO. GOOD STEADY 35 MPG. IMPRESSIVE AS I LIVE IN THE MOUNTAINS/BACK COUNTRY ROADS. SO THANKS AGAIN GDE. GUYS REALLY TOOK CARE OF ME.

So they got it fixed where you don’t need to keep the tank, that’s awesome. Remove the obsolete tank and move the spare tire up a good ways
Was thinking the same thing however, there is a cross brace between the tank and tire and its welded in place. I would like to see a picture of the V6 trucks how the spare looks.
