Does anyone know or is aware of any aftermarket shop adapting the 2.8 Duramax with GM Automatic Transmission 6L80 or 10L80 (Understand that GM and FORD had partnered in manufacturing a 10speed AT i.e. GM10L80 / FORD 10R80 fitted on fullsize F150 and Asian Ford Ranger Raptor 2.0ltr Biturbo Diesel). Current 6L50E is weak for upgraded Duramax.

Interested in this as well, I come from the Pontiac g8 community and I know switching from the 6l80 to the 6l90 was a pretty simple swap, but I think they did have to shorten the drive shaft. A 6l80 would be stout with a zl1 converter.
