Cargo light Disabled once in gear!

To start off i do know it is illegal to drive on the road with your cargo lights on "This is not my intent". I plan to install a camper shell with the lighting inside. I would like to poll the audience for a solution to the cargo lights turning off when i put my vehicle into drive OR reverse. Any thoughts on this could help.
I drive a 2019 Chevy ZR2 midnight edition.
