Not sure if anyone on the forum has done 100k, but hoping if so they will chime in.

Not quite to 100K yet. Only 65K. However, I just finished the 2nd of two 1,500 mile + road trips. TX to WI and TX to CO. The truck was great! With the higher speed interstate driving, it didn't get the greatest mileage. I managed around 21-22 at 80+ mph. I've gotten 25+ when I baby it at 65-70. I was surprised that it was pretty comfortable for the long haul too. I'm used to driving a Tahoe Premier 6.2L for road trips so this was a step down but didn't feel like it. Only issue, has been a bad ABS sensor that I probably damaged off-roading. No engine issues whatsoever.

I just traded my ‘16 diesel Colorado with 214k in.
Had a couple DPF issues early on covered under warranty. Then around 160k the torque converter started showing some bad signs but I babied it until I traded it. Needed a new DPF and some associated parts at time of trade, didn’t feel it warranted the 7k in work for a truck that booked at 9k or so.

I have a 2018 Colorado diesel with 70k so far and many trips hauling cars on a trailer and loaded. I love my Colorado and so far I never had any issues. I periodically have the oil change and that is it. I was never an american car kind of guy but honestly this Colorado is bad ass! I love it.

25k on my 2019 canyon denali. DPF failed twice, once in Montana and most recently in Utah. Each time towing my 24foot Jayco. Both GMC Dealerships were great and took care of me, just sucked waiting a week for the parts to arrive

Just traded in Denali for a Toyota Tundra. My wife was not willing to wait for the DPF to fail again. Will miss the Canyon especially the incredible fuel mileage. The Tundra mpg are terrible but I’m pretty confident it won’t leave me stranded.
Thanks to all who offered advice while I was a diesel owner

I’m thinking of buying a Colorado or Canyon diesel Are there any concerns with those engines? How do they hold up after 100000? Etc Thanks

Visit this forum. Many more users with tons of miles. There is a Diesel forum. Make sure you visit the 2nd generation forums versus the 1st gen.
