Wonder if the Cummins Repower 2.8 would be a viable swap for a Colorado/Canyon? It looks a bit down on power and torque, but it may also not have the dreaded DPF? Then again, by the time a guy would wear out a 2.8. Duramax, the rest of the truck might be crap as well. Has this been done?

The biggest hurdle would probably be electronics. Best bet is to find a way to do a full delete on the 2.8. Move to Canada ;)

Or just drive there, get er done and pray you can avoid detection.

In order to avoid getting crushed by the EPA, I believe tuners are requiring registration showing that the truck is licensed in a country other than the US before they will sell you their products.
