Hey there! Just picked up a lightly used 2018 ZR2 Diesel. I've had an LLY and an LMM in 6.6 Duramax and loved 'em. about 150 miles over the past two days in the 2.8 and like it a lot... especially the mileage.

I've worked on Diesels of all sizes from Huge Colt Pielstick Twin Turbo V16s and Fairbanks Morse Opposed Piston engines to small, portable Yanmar diesel generators.

Look forward to learning a lot from the site and offering help as I learn the truck and engine over the coming years.

See ya down the road!

Me too. Well, it's my wife's, but I sorta talked her into it. She was shopping for a Tacoma at a Toyota dealership, had one picked out, and then a row away, this stared at us and we went "whoa". Really sweet little 2019 loaded AND with the 2.8 Duramax. 20,000 miles but looks, smells and acts brand new. Toyota dealer just wanted to unload it.
The more we looked, the better it looked. The truck behind it is mine. Royal member of the 800 HP club. No bolt from radiator to rear end left unturned. 5.9L of unruly terror.
Nic-named "BluByU". it still gets 20 mpg when driven nice. The Colorado hovers at 30mpg. No nic-name as of yet. Working on that.

I like the hood black out treatment of later models. I need to see if I can get my hood wrapped or something.
