Hey everyone.
I recently purchased a 2017 Colorado LT with 2.8L Diesel, Cajun red tintcoat, leather seats and only 6,500 miles. Well I just got t-boned and totaled the truck. Only made one payment on the loan. I liked the truck very much. Impressed with the tow capacity. I am thinking about ordering a 2020 Colorado LT with the 2.8L, Cajun red tintcoat with leather interior. The question that I have is why don't we see many 2.8 Diesel Colorado's on the road? I asked the local dealer to locate one for me and he can't find one anywhere like my truck. Should I purchase a new one?

My guess is most people don’t want to pay the premium for a diesel and some shy away due to horror stories. My neighbor bought a V6 because he heard that the diesel had a lot of issues. It’s been 2 years and his have been back to the dealer For repair more than mine. Every time we talked, he express his regrets for not getting the diesel.

You know, I don't think they've been advertised all that well. I can't count the number of people that have tried to warn me about filling up DEF or Diesel at the pumps :p Then, they're stunned the truck is a diesel.

One could buy a full size truck for the cost of a nice Colorado or Canyon diesel with leather, and that is what most people do. I cared not - wanted what I wanted, glad I got my Canyon. The truck is perfect for me needs and gets better fuel economy than my neighbor's little Subaru. Such a cool vehicle.

Continue to dare to be different, get another 2.8 if you loved it. Don't be like everybody else and buy an F-150...
