Hey guys,
Thought It would be a good idea to stay connected with other Duramax Colorado owners since this is still a fairly new line up. So far I'm at 550 miles and couldn't be happier, now time to find a good rolling bed cover with built in toolbox, let me know if any of you have installed one. Cheers!

Gorgeous Truck... I'm a 1st time Diesel owner as well, and just bought mine this week.
So far I'm liking it ok... It needs to be lifted with bigger tires... and probably a performance program.

That's exactly what we are hoping to do to ours eventually.

She's a beauty. Congrats. Loving mine as well.

Not a rolling cover, but I have a gator cover and the quality is absolutely outstanding. You can fit the bakbox toolbox with it according to the manufacturer.

Is the Gator box waterproof?
The gator cover is sealed really well at the front and down the sides, but there is a big gap between the tailgate and the taillight. That's the truck, not the cover. When I go thru a car wash a little gets in at the tailgate corners.

Sorry for the late reply! Just finished training, been pretty intense these past few weeks. Love the trucks, and thanks for the input! I Decided to do the Truxedo Lo Pro for the time being until I can afford the the American Work Tonneau Cover with toolbox, it's definitely the nicest one I've seen but pricey at $2500! I'll post picks of the Lo Pro tomorrow after I wash it. Also, I ordered the Blackvue DR650S-2CH Dashcam front and rear, will have that done next week and i'll post pics as well as my thoughts on the system. Still loving the MiniMax! Only gripe so far is the way it shifts, kinda funky, but then again i've always stuck with manuals until now.

Andy, I'm up in Pensacola right now, from what I hear we aren't considered Florida ha ha
The trans tune has been one of my favorite mods so far (duramax tuner)

Doesn't void the warranty at all?

I didn't say that. A tuner can mess up parts of your warranty Same as a lift kit can mess up your driveline warranty. If you have a 5" lift and you have problems with your transfer case output shaft seal, don't expect them to warranty the seal or labor because you changed the driveshaft angle drastically. Same with a cv joint up front, it's possible the dealer might not warranty it. But, dealers get paid for warranty work from Gm so they might just write it up and do it.

Some of us chime in about warranty on this other thread.

First tow from Pensacola to Augusta, 2250LB's for transport, 3300LBS for the Jeep and another 1100 in the bed and cab, avg 16.7MPG and 17.2MPG 2nd leg going an avg of 70MPH, plenty of hills. Towed quite well, didn't feel like I was nearing the Max towing, exhaust brake makes a world of a difference, very pleased.
