Was searching around, trying to find who makes exhaust systems for our trucks that are not just DPF or CAT back systems. Only one I knew of so far was aFe. But I was searching on Dale's Super Store website and found one from Flo-Pro for a heck of a lot cheaper too. It's aluminized unfortunately, but if you don't mind that, then that might be the way to go. I believe we got a Flo-Pro exhaust for our truck here at work as we needed an exhaust that would fit a Cab & Chassis truck and they made one. Actually the only one I could find. Was an easy enough installation too. Might have to go with them, unless I decide I really want a stainless exhaust. Check it out. Have the link for Dale's Super Store ad and then the Flo-Pro website instructions:

Where on there did it say "Aluminized" I saw "Heavy Duty SS". Not saying it's not. And does this one delete def/dpf? Looks like it does. Anyone deleted that stuff yet? If like to at least do the EGR delete
You are right, in the Dales Super Store link, it does say
  • Built using heavy duty stainless steel in 3” diameter
But if you go onto the actual Flo-Pro website and search through and find the same exhaust (they only make 1 for a 2.8 Duramax), it says something like "Aluminized Instructions" and there is a link to click, and then it has a column also for Stainless Steel Instructions, but there is no link to click. Take a look.

Also, I asked the same question, "Who is has deleted their emissions equipped exhaust system and opted for a straight pipe" on the 2.8 LWN Owners facebook page. I wanted to know what most of those guys that had done it thought of the sound that came out. Most have said they don't like the sound, that it's not the same as a 6.6 Duramax. It doesn't have the same tone I guess, being that it's just a little 4 cylinder engine. Also that it gets a drone to it at highway speeds I guess? I dunno, I never noticed anything like that really with my 6.6, or maybe it didn't bother me.

A few said that after a few days, they finally decided to put a muffler (like the Flo-Pro one that already comes with the muffler that has no bungs) on the truck and they are just fine with it now. I also wondered if adding an exhaust tip, either a single walled or a double walled/ rolled tip would change the sound and make it sound any better, but no one has said that they have done that yet.

This should be the link to our discussion on it, on the group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/182...tif_t=group_comment&notif_id=1499988628504979

That's why I have thought about getting this Flo-Pro one whenever I get once, since you get a muffler with the unit for cheap. And if you don't want the muffler, you can always get a straight piece of pipe to put in there. Most of those guys said it sounds good, or doesn't sound bad, once you put a muffler (with no bungs I would assume so it doesn't restrict airflow) on it.

So my 2016 Canyon is booked in for Monday, Flowpro Stainless exhaust turbo back (they are making both aluminized steel, and stainless steel now), full DEF, and EGR delete, Park Performance (Sherwood Park, Canada) is doing all the work. I'm going to do a sound pressure test, a audio recording, 0-60, 60-75, time tomorrow before it goes in, and ill repeat the tests after the delete is completed.

Looking at Rockcrawers post its been a couple years how's it holding up???
RCD no longer has his truck. He sold it over a year ago I think.
