While the truck was warming up this morning, I noticed a small spot under the fuel filter. I watched for a bit and it's definitely leaking around the fuel filter drain valve. Should the o-ring be replaced periodically or is this an anomaly?

Old thread but new information.
My 2019 had the fuel filter drain plug removed twice since purchased new. First time one year into service and a second time two years later.
2020 and 2022. The second time when installing the drain plug back in after a fuel filter change it was leaking under gravity drain. So my conclusion is replace the Oring everytime you replace the fuel filters. Fuel filters come with new Orings for a reason. The drain plug should follow the same procedure.
I ordered 20 Orings. I suggest we all do the same. They get flat and thin quick. See photos.
