Hello everyone. I have a 2022 Chevy Colorado Long Bed Crew Cab Z71 4x4 Diesel on order. Should be here in November from what I am hearing. I have been enjoying reading up on the post here for over a year. I am sure I will have several question as a new owner as this will be my first diesel and I want it to run reliably for a very long time.
I already have a Titan 36 gallon replacement tank in my garage.
Goals for the truck:
1000 mile highway range
Off road capability (realistic expectations based on long wheel base)
Able to function well at GVWR
Things I am planning in the first months are:
PHASE I
1. Racor CCV4500 catch can installation
2. Titan 36 gallon fuel tank installation
3. Beans sump
4. FASS lift pump
5. GDE tune - engine and transmission
Phase II
6. Full Wrap
PHASE III
7. ZR2 suspension upgrade with King shocks and Deaver leafs
8. E-Lockers front and rear
9. Shock Skids
Phase IV
9. AEV front and rear bumpers and full skidplates
10. 33" tires AEV beadlock wheels.
Phase V
11. Rear seat delete
12. Communication upgrades
The order is subject to change and I would love some input on what items should be added and what items should be tackled earlier in the process.
I know none of this is new so looking forward to tapping in to everyone's experience.
Please share your thoughts and I will do my best to keep you updated on my progress.
Thanks,
Tony
