Name is Adam. We (gf and I) are picking up a new 18 colorado crewcab long box 2.8L z71 tomorrow for her to commute back and forth to work with (650kms/week). It should be a bit easier on the fuel bills coming from her 1ton cummins especially once deleted. I am moderately involved in tuning so I might try and tune it myself but we will see how it goes for the first little bit. We hail from Alberta so lucky for us the emissions laws aren't frowned upon....yet
I will likely also buy one to use for work (rapid transportation of goods/parts) along with my lmm duramax which i have 400,000kms on. I really hope that with a good maintenance program these little 2.8's and the colorado can live a long life. Guess we will see

Empty, with hard tonneau I get 8 L/100 on a long run and 10L/100 short trips, warm ups etc.
