I was given a brand new 4 cyl. Tacoma as a work truck. It is not a 4x4, but has some decent ground clearance. The truck has zero power, on the freeway if there is even a slight incline, the engine goes into overdrive and whines. It does not even have intermittent wipers.....
On the weekends, or at night during the week if we take the Colorado out, I realize what a great truck it is. Way more comfortable, I like the peace of mind of 4 wheel drive, my wife likes the heated seats, even in SoCal....I know it is comparing the bottom of the line to a top of the line truck, but I never realized what a difference there is in trucks, as I have always had near the top of the line midsized trucks. I cannot imagine what a $90k truck is like......
