What do you wish your truck had?

I'll go first. These are things that even my 2003 Chevrolet had.

-garage door opener
-Bigger mirrors
-driver memory seat
-Rubber inserts in the cubbies and console
-a little storage behind rear seat
-sunroof

I agree about all that, although a sunroof wouldn't be that needed. I figured they would have the garage door opener sync but no. Never had the memory seat but I think it would be nice for when the wife drives the truck vs me, so the dash doesn't eat my knees.

Another thing, I like the functional hood scoop on the 2017 HD trucks. I kind of wish I could get one for our Canyon. The biggest thing is bigger/ tow mirrors; really wish they made them or could get good looking aftermarket ones.

Also, wish it had an Allison Transmission =D Baby Duramax, why not a Baby Allison haha. Just feel those hold up much better. I've heard a lot of the older GM transmissions, like the 4L60 and 4L80 were not very good. Wishful thinking I guess.

The 4l60 was prone to wearing out and slipping because the shift bands would wear out especially when shifting under load. The main upgrade In our 6l50 is that it is a clutch to clutch shift rather than having shift bands. No shift bands equals no slipping I think.

I agree with all... Those are my biggest complaints about the Colorado/Canyon in stock form.

I would also add to my list of stock parts on top of what you mentioned:
Power Sliding Rear Glass
AC/Heated Seats.

Non Stock Parts:
Tonneau Cover
Nerf Bars
Better Exhaust

They do have at least heated seats on the SLE All Terrain Canyon, as well as the SLT and Denali. I think the Denali has heated and cooled seats and heated steering wheel.
Yea... I have the heated seats which get real hot, I might add. I was told the AC seats were not an option but they could add it for extra $. lolol

The manual rear glass is just dumb I think. It would be different if it was a regular cab, were yo can reach it, but with the crew cab? WTHeck?!?!?

I will also admit, I almost went with the Canyon because I like the full leather seats. I couldn't find that in the Colorado, but the color of my seats fit the color of my truck and it really went together well.

We went with the SLE All Terrain because you get the Z71 suspension/ off road package. Not like the ZR2 or the Trail Boss editions with the Colorado, but you also get underbody shields and better suspension. And I really like the seats we have. They are like a mixture of leather (or possibly leatherette) and cloth with red stitching on a black truck. It looks very sharp I think. We mainly went with the Canyon for the more full size look I think it gives off.

I agree, I think you got the best looking truck. That is the exact truck that I almost purchased in June when I was first looking. Ended up six months later in December getting the black z71 with 0% for 72.

convincing gm to put a manual trans in anything other than a bare bones work truck is not gonna happen.

You can still get a fully loaded tacoma in a manual, but a tacoma won't pull a greased string out of a cats ass.

If I didn't need the towing capacity I would never have looked past the manual Tacoma at the Colorado.

Here you go, sap. Just for you, Here's my crawler with a four on the floor. Literally. I like to be in control and I don't mind having to work for it.

Homelink. How can you pay over $40k for the truck and it not have the homelink? Dropped the ball on that one GM. Also wish the Colorado had the same hood as the Canyon, I like that the Duramax badge is up on the ridge more like the 2500 trucks. If I'm getting really picky I think there needs to be at least a Duramax badge on the tail gate.

You can see it in my intro thread. I got it from some guy on eBay. He claimed it was oem but it was a knock off. It was cheap and matched. I don't wanna advertise for him but you can pm me if you don't see it on there.
