Anyone install this already? I just got mine and I plan to put it under the front bumper for desert driving this season. It's a custom install so just wondering if anyone did this how long it took or did you have a shop do it?

This is the front camera that plugs directly into the back of the 8" Display.

Well, I ran out of time and decided to have the Truck Shop in Miramar install it since they did my bumper and lift kit. We realized that since I had the Fabfours bumper the fisheye would be too close to the ground. Ended up they epoxyed it to the bottom of my light bar and the fisheye just barely sees the winch rollers. Perfect spot. They did the complete install in less than a few hours. I'll post some photos when I get a chance.

To be honest, it's a great view, but it's a pain in the ass to use and only works while the truck is in Reverse. They advertise it saying: "Allows for visibility during off-road or incline maneuvers to see over crests." What they want you to do next is crazy.

We stop at the crest (okay, I can agree with that one), but now I have to put it in reverse, wait 7 seconds, hold down back button on dash for 3 seconds, to turn on the front camera. However, as soon as you switch into Drive, you only have 2 seconds before the front camera turns off. What were they thinking? It's to see over the crest, but only once, not while you're actually driving.

I'm going to have to try to find a workaround since that is just looney. If anyone knows of a way to achieve that, please let me know. Thanks.

UPDATE: I emailed Intellihaul about my disappointment since the instructions only documented how to turn it on while in Reverse. They got back to me quickly and said to turn it on anytime just hold down the "Back" button even while in Drive for 3 seconds. It works just as it should now. I suggested they add that in the manual. I can't understand why they would leave out such an important point. So now I would highly recommend it. We used it out in the desert last weekend and it really helps when going up large hills and you can't see over the hood and the trail disappears. It is a Fish Eye so you have to get your vantage points all dialed in but that was fairly easy. I have it so I can see the very front of my winch rollers and then measured out until the road is out of view. It looks a lot further on camera than it really is. I have it set so I can see everything directly under the winch out to where I can barely see what's over the hood of the truck. So helpful.

I also wanted to mention that once you have the front camera installed, it looks fairly straightforward to install the mirror cameras and all the connections are there.
