After looking and drooling over one since I heard they were coming, I finally put the money down on a Red Crew Cab Z71 Colorado shortbed. Has the factory accessories of the step bars, wheel flares, black bowties and spray in bedliner.

So far, after the 1st 1,000 miles, the truck is better than expected, plenty of power and fairly quiet with great gas mileage. I am averaging 29 mpg overall after the initial 1000 miles, and this is still before adding a tonneau cover.

Did you follow any specific break in method with regard to helping the hardened piston rings seat? Like gently increasing the load by towing with it?
