Hey all,

I just finally titled my Colorado, been on the temp tag since March due to COVID. Question, do we need to inspect our trucks in NJ? The woman at the DVM was certain I didn't need to inspect it cause it was a new generation diesel. She even knew that if the check engine light was on for a while the truck will stop working and I'd have to get it fixed (not exactly correct but close enough). When I went up on the NJ DMV site it says newer trucks over 8501 GVW but I don't think our trucks have that rating. NJ Colorado diesel owners, have you gone to inspection?

Thanks,
Art.

If the dealer did not put on a new car inspection sticker, then you have to go to inspection. They will not inspect it they will just put on the new car sticker for you new sticker is good for 4 or 5 years, not sure how long

I have a new car sticker on it but it's from New York as that's where i purchased the truck certified used. Guess I'll have to go wait in line for a while.
