Good Morning All!
I have been lurking for some time and have a 2018 babymax. First time poster.
I know some of you have quite extensive knowledge and I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I had the reductant heater code and it caused a Check Engine light. This happened to me twice last winter and when I disconnected the battery the check engine light would go out (obviously) and then it would come out of the limp mode(175 miles till whatever) and then I would be good until it we got another bad cold snap. This winter I had the problem again and I cleared the code however my truck did not come out of limp mode. I ended up bringing it to the dealer and they cant find a problem and now it is out of limp mode and I am going to take it back for now.
My question is how the hell did they get it out of limp mode when I could not this time? I did it last winter. Same code same problem, check engine light went out but limp mode would not. Is there a procedure to get it out of limp mode when there is no longer a problem?
I have a fancy scan tool, I know a regen would have nothing to do with my DPF but does that procedure take it out of that mode? I thought I read that here at one time.
Any help would be appreciated. I will buy you beers one night I promise!
