Power steering failure

Hi, have just purchased a Colorado diesel. Live in Canada, specifically the prairies. We had a cold snap and it was dropping to -28 degrees. Discovered when the truck was parked outside for a couple hours that we had no power steering. As long as truck is plugged in, its good. Have taken to dealer & they are ordering parts. Had a Nissan Titan & had no problems with it. Waiting to see what happens after fix. Has anyone else experienced this? Have also had problems with back up camera & diesel fuel heater?? Both are awaiting parts. Thanks
