I have read on other sites about the source of the clunk in the rear end on our trucks. From what I have read the bushing where the springs attach to the frame are not wide enough .anyone here know anything about this?

The technical service bulletin I read about the clunk described the fix as retorquing the rear u- bolts, if i remember correctly. I haven’t had any clunks but I also had my leaf springs apart before 2000 miles doing my add-a-leafs and blocks and I obviously torqued my u-bolts down and then retorqued them again after some miles.

Actually, I lied, I had a clunk after doing the 2” rear lift because my shocks were too short so they topped out over bumps but I fixed that with some longer shocks.
