Very cold here today - around -40 celsius with the wind chill. Had a volleyball practice today had to drive over an hour to get to it (Head Coach). When I arrived I got the message Reduced Engine Power and code P244A (I always have my scanner with me) - It registered as a permanent code but was able to clear the check engine light. Was able to drive home with the cruise set at 100km/hr. Check engine light came back but did not really lose anything except acceleration was slow. I have booked an appointment with local closest dealer which is 65km from my town. What would be the fix to this code?

I have seen in the forums where the heater in the sensor dies causing this problem.
