If I am not mistaken, but the Colorado doesn’t have a rear sway bar, right?
So my question is this : Does a rear sway bar really make a difference for towing applications? Will it make a noticeable difference?

You are correct it does not have one from the factory. Hellwig is the only one that I know of that's specifically designed for the 2-nd Gen trucks.

The guys who have installed it say it works well and really keeps body roll in check when turning.

Yeah, depending on your needs and usage either airbags or the hellwig will do a good job. If you hit more rough roads or off road you might prefer the airbags but if youre mostly on road the sway would be a good choice, but it wont level the load like airbags will.
