The fact they're breaking into the 8's with a 4-cylinder Diesel and manual transmission is really cool. Those guys really take pride in their presentation all the way around.

Yup, goes to show that it can take some tweaking!Very true
Notice the Colorado there
The 2.8 must have been really good before GM changed things for the North American market…..
How’s the milage on the new truck?Yup, goes to show that it can take some tweaking!
It gets fairly close to the LWN. When cursing it's about 1-mpg better but getting up to speed it's probably 2 or 3 worse. But it's fun to drive it's got some push and has a deep exhaust / intake note I'm really liking it a lot. How’s the milage on the new truck?
I really want one of those. So cool.
I am really disappointed in the milage with the 2.7 in the twins. It gets fairly close to the LWN. When cursing it's about 1-mpg better but getting up to speed it's probably 2 or 3 worse. But it's fun to drive it's got some push and has a deep exhaust / intake note I'm really liking it a lot.
Go find one and test drive it !
Well I've said this in the past because GM added a few inches to the front of the Gen3 maybe they will stuff the 3.0 in it. That would be a killer combo and would get some crazy good MPG numbers.I am really disappointed in the milage with the 2.7 in the twins.
Big mistake on GMs part to discontinue the 2.8
It should have been hardened for reliability and offered in the twins.
