I have an issue with water laying on the door sill. This is on the driver's side front. When it rains hard I get water laying there. It's not on the passeenger side. I took it to the dealer and had service check it. They said this is normal and the gasket around the door is made to let water drain out the bottom. No water is coming in the cab, it just lays on the sill.

Has anyone else experienced this? My truck is a 2016 Z71 crew cab with a little over 1000 mile on it. I bought it new.

I can attest to the same thing. There is always a decent amount of water on the sills after a decent rain. I did see a video on youtube a guy posted a while back where the drivers side rear door was holding water. I always let the doors and sills dry out as much as possible after I wash my truck.

I raised this issues a few months back (Sep 2 16-no replies). No one seemed interested at that time. Seems that water remaining in that area, which is prone to some abrading from the weather stripping will eventually begin to corrode (rust). I am keeping an eye on mine. BTW, Water (and dirt) also collects in the tailgate through the hole(s) along the bottom. These are among many engineering oddities I have come across in the Colorado HD.
