Nobody huh has anyone replaced a whole throttle body and if so is there a relearn process or is there any stupid dealer only programming?

 

maybe your throttle body plate is sticking or going bad. remove the intake and see if its not jammed.

 

Have a throttle body showing up today hope that's it and it's just a plug and play.

 

Came out to go ahead pull the throttle body. This truck was deleted before I bought it and I find the throttle body is not even hooked up there is a plug on the TB and it's connector. Somebody has to have ran into this code or issue.

 

So if the connector isn't even plugged in how would the truck ever even know what the throttle position even is?

 

Swapped out the throttle pedal thought that could be it. Started perfect twice in a row. Drove it to town had lunch come out, hard start again. Anyone have any idea where I should turn? I really think the code is just always there because the TB isn't even plugged in because of the delete so I don't think it's that. Has anyone had these longer crank and hard start issues with no codes?

I bought a deleted truck and didn't like the tune so I replaced it with one from a tuner I had previously used. It immediately threw a P16A1 code. It turns out the throttle body was unplugged for the previous tune. I plugged it back in and cleared the code with no issues since. Hopefully it stays that way.
